In-situ studies of internal interfaces

WP2 addresses internal interfaces by developing and applying new in situ methods for studying:

  • Interfaces inside the individual particles/crystallites in electrode materials (intra-particle interfaces, buried interfaces and internal interfaces),
  • Chemical gradients in electrode layers during operation
  • Nucleation and growth of nanoparticles and nanostructures in conversion batteries.
